A szünetben Sadio Mané és Jesse Lingard találatával döntetlen volt az állás, s egészen a hajráig 1-1-et mutatott az eredményjelző, akkor azonban a svájci Xherdan Shaqiri hét percen belül (73. és 80.) kétszer is betalált, s ezzel el is dőlt a találkozó.

Alisson hibája kellett a United egyenlítéséhez:
